Obituary of Sadie Coulet

Alzadie "Sadie" May Coulet (nee Taylor), 91 years, formerly of Spring Garden Road, Westville, NS, passed away on Monday, Dec 29 in the Aberdeen Hospital. She most recently resided at East River Manor, New Glasgow. Born on August 23, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Stuart and Louguardie (Reid) Taylor. Sadie was very creative and loved to do crafts. She was a member of a craft club for 25 years and enjoyed spending time with her craft friends. Her favourite was doing Chinese embroidery called Bunka with her good friend Agnes Sample. All her family have mementos of her works of art. Her favorite holidays were Canada Day and Boxing Day which were marked by family gatherings. She also enjoyed several Caribbean vacations with her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Coulet, son, Joseph E. (Joey) Coulet, great grand-daughter Solaira MacNeil, brothers, George, Gordon, Ronald and Lambert Taylor and sister Lexina Cameron. She is survived by daughters Yvonne "Bonnie" (Stan) Betts, Porter's Lake, Carol (Donald) Thompson, Westville, Sharon (Roland) MacNeil, Moncton, daughter-in-law Pamela Smith, Hopewell, sister-in-law Clara Teed, New Glasgow, as well as grandchildren Pamela, Stanley, Charles, Susan, Jason, Janice, Darrell, Steven, great-grandchildren Ashley, Logan, Morgan, Matthew, Sophie, Jayden, Joseph, Sophia, great great grandchild Kaitlyn, several nieces and nephews and special family friends Lester & Angie Linco. She was very proud of her five generation family. Sadie rested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with von Tuesday where the funeral service was held at 11 AM on Wednesday, with Father Donald Boudreau officiating. Family flowers only please. Donations in her memory may be made to Pictou County Ground Search & Rescue of which her son Joey was a founding member, or a charity of your choice. I give you this one thought to keep I am with you still -- I do not sleep.
