Obituary of Robert Gregory
Robert Lewis “Bob” Gregory, 80 of Gregory’s Lane, Westville passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital with his family at his side.
Born in Halifax, on Nov. 7, 1932, he was a son of the late Alexander and Rosalind (Hirtle) Gregory.
In his earlier years, Bob worked for the Railway and Power Engineer Corp. He was a well known contractor and owned and was President of General Builders. Later, he owned and operated Gregory’s Hardware in Westville until retirement. Bob was a former councillor for the Town of Westville where he served as Deputy Mayor and also served on the Police Commission. Bob was a member of the Western Star Masonic Lodge for over 50 years, was a past member of the Westville Rotary Club and Westville Curling Club. Bob was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church.
Bob was a loving husband of 57 years of Naida Ilean (MacNeil); loving father of Melinda Currie (Paul); Stratford, P.E.I. and Rob, Westville and proud grandfather of Sarah. He is also survived by brother-in-law Fred Livingston, several nieces and nephews and locally by niece Tena MacLellan.
He was ;predeceased by a brother “Alexander “Buddy” Gregory; sister Elizabeth “Betty” Ransom and sister-in-law Joyce Livingston.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville . There will be no visiting or funeral service by request. A private family service will be held at a later date. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
