Obituary of Baillie Matheson

Neil "Baillie" Matheson, 90 , Gairloch,, Pictou County passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013 in the Northumberland Veteran’s Unit, Pictou. Born in Union Centre, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Jane E. (Baillie) Matheson. Baillie was a veteran of W.W.II and continued his service with the Royal Canadian Air Force until 1972. After retirement, he returned to Gairloch to live on the family farm. He was a member of the Matheson Clan and was a former member of the Masonic Lodge, Kingston. He will be sadly missed by his son, David (Barbara), Greenwood, grandchildren, John (Kendra) and Louise (Graham) and great grand children, Logan and Bailey. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth "Dolly" (MacKay). There will be no visitation. His funeral service will be held 2 o’clock Sunday from St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Gairloch with Rev. Gary Tonks and Bonnie Crockett officiating. Burial will be in Gairloch Cemetery. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
