Obituary of Kenneth Cantley

The Cantley family is heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Kenneth Phillip Cantley. Kenny was born in Pictou County to parents Roy &Theresa Cantley, on the 9th of September, 1958.

Kenny enjoyed a happy childhood along side his 5 siblings getting into mischief along the way as most boys did. All that boyishness behavior certainly changed into young interests, and then to young love when he met his best friend, Ellen Haggerty, who quickly became the love of his life. Together they enjoyed a beautiful life together in Montreal, eventually extending that love to two of their most prized possessions, their children Kenny Jr & Cristal. Kenny will also always be remembered as an extraordinary mechanic, and spent many years as a crane operator at Trenton Works. When he could not find things to be tinkering with, Kenny could be found on his four-wheeler cruising the trails with his daughter and the dogs in-tow. Kenny’s family was his life. The arrival of Kenny’s 4 beautiful grandchildren sealed loves deal for Kenny. Jayce, Ahlyvia, Kelsey and Hayleigh made him into “papa”, a role very cherished by Kenny. He was surrounded by love.

Kenny is lovingly survived by his wife, Ellen Cantley (nee Haggerty), his children Kenneth (Jr.) Cantley (Amanda), Lower Sackville & Cristal Cantley, Pictou. He is also lovingly survived by his sister Norma Higgins (Greg), Westville; brother Glen Cantley (Joanne) Stellarton;  brother, Dennis Cantley, Trenton; sister, Pat Holly (Bob), Stellarton;  brother Greg Cantley, Montreal& many wonderful nieces and nephews and chosen family, Joan & Gillian MacAulay.

Kenny truly lived and laughed, but his LOVE was far by the best.
