Obituary of Lucy Lees

Lucy Anne Lees (MacKay), age 79, of Millbrook, Pictou County, passed away on February 23, 2021 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.

Born in Evensville, Stellarton, on June 11, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Lucy (Urquhart) MacKay.

She met and married the love of her life George Lees in 1961. Lucy was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 35. She took great pride in raising her family George, Wesley and Ora.

She will be sadly missed by her husband George Lees; children George Lees Jr. "Rick"; Wesley (Sheila), and Ora (Ed); grandchildren, Katelyn (Bob), Shavonne, Austin, Edmund (Bridget), and Adam; and sister Ora Best.

Lucy was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Francis "Buddy", June, Jean, Everett, George and Jennie and her parents Frank and Lucy MacKay.

Her family will receive visitors at a public visitation on Thursday from 7-9 pm at Eagles Funeral Home. Masks are mandatory and pre registration is not required.

A public funeral service with the Rev. Doug Pilsworth officiating will be held at 2 o'clock Friday at the Funeral Home. To attend the Funeral Service registration is require.
