Obituary of Anna Jean Hubley

With profound sadness, the angels came to take Anna Jean (Stewart) Hubley on May 2, 2020, in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in New Glasgow in 1951, she was a daughter of Margaret (Murphy) Stewart of Stellarton, and the late Henry Gordon Stewart . She grew up in Stellarton and moved to Westville upon her marriage. Anna Jean’s passions were her family and most of all her grandchildren and her puppy Teddy. She enjoyed her spot in Country Harbour where she loved to be the most and enjoyed her long drives in the country by the ocean. Anna Jean always loved the ways her Hubley family accepted her with open arms. Truly felt the love of everyone. She will be dearly missed by her husband Scott; son, Anthony (Amanda Worthen); daughter Wendy (Matthew Kenny); grandchildren, Brayden, Cleab, Keleigh, Aiden, and Lucas; sister Barbie (Marshall); and her first husband Gary O’Brien. She was predeceased by her father Henry Gordon Stewart and brother Gordon Stewart. Thank you to all the nurses and doctors who treated Anna Jean with such passion. Private family visitation was held. For the safety of family and friends, there will be no public visitations. A memorial service may be held at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to Lansdowne Recreation (L.O.R.D.A.), P. O. Box 1122, Westville, NS, B0K 2A0.
